Went here for the first time today - Wow! The man who is running this is amazingly kind and helpful and has the patience of a saint to accommodate a hungry lunch crowd. I got one of the specials for today - A 6 oz Crab Cake and Fries for only $7.50. Wow - so good! The fries were crispy and hot. The crab cake was fried and had a crispy exterior and was filled with crab. I do prefer a little more Old Bay and a touch of yellow mustard in the cake, but I wolfed both it and the fries down without any ketchup, tarter sauce, mustard...NOTHING except the food itself. It was a great discovery for me and I cannot wait to go back. They actually roast the turkey and the roast beef for their sandwiches - most everything is prepared and cooked by them. I was shocked when I asked what deli meats he uses and he told me his own...lol! ; ) Check this out - you will be happy and the prices are most reasonable! *****10/30/14 - went back again today as I was intrigued by the food offerings. The man running the café is Steve and he is training a lovely woman named Molly. They are basically running this on their own so be patient. The food is made as close to homemade as you can get and so is worth it. Steve has only been there about a month so they are still very new but the passion to give his customers good food is obvious. Today I got a fresh burger with provolone on a Kaiser with lettuce, tomato, mayo and raw onion. It was huge - so big that I cut it in half to share with my assistant. I also asked for a roast beef sandwich with provolone on wheat and lettuce tomato and mayo. I asked for the sandwich cold and receive it hot BUT it was tasty so it did not matter! Again, be patient and be specific with what you want. They try to remember your order but are so busy they should be writing it down. I am sure Steve is still figuring things out and did I mention - his food is great! Dave is the manager of the Exxon Station and this little deli is located inside. While I was there, Dave pitched in and helped whenever he could. For three people manning a deli counter, a cash register for gas, convenience store items, lottery etc. - they looked like the Dream Team. While I was there, I accidentally knocked over my soda and Dave was there in a flash with a mop and did not make me feel embarrassed at all, even though I was. All in all, I will definitely stop in from time to time and hope others do as well.
